What Is Spotify Sleep Timer?
The Spotify mobile app includes a sleep timer that may be used to play music or podcasts at a predetermined time before bed. At the predetermined period of time, whatever you’re listening to will automatically pause. You can resume where you left off whenever you choose.
The desktop and online player versions lack this function. The Spotify sleep timer is mobile-only, so you’ll need to listen on your phone before bed for it to operate.
The Spotify sleep timer debuted this year. That wasn’t widely recognized until last summer when Spotify published an article about it.
How to Set a Sleep Timer on Spotify?
Spotify’s sleep timer is a feature accessible on iOS and Android devices. You won’t be able to access it through the website or the computer software.
- To listen to music or podcasts, open the Spotify app on your mobile device and pick your preferred option. Choose it from any place you like, be it a playlist, an album, or the artist’s website.
- If you want to adjust the volume or pause the video once it has started playing, you can do so by tapping the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen, or by tapping the banner at the bottom of the screen.
- Next, select Sleep timer by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
- You may customize how long Spotify will play before the sleep timer turns it off for you. Choose an interval between 5 minutes and 1 hour. Selecting “End of the track” or “End of the episode” will continue playing until the end of the current track or episode, respectively. For podcasts, this is perfect because it closes out the episode without moving on to the next.

After selecting a timer setting, the menu will disappear and a brief message will be displayed to let you know the timer has begun counting down. You may leave your phone locked and the music playing until it naturally ends.
